Abstract
Indonesia has a germplasms diversity of several food plant, one of them is sweet potato (Ipomoea batatas L.).In plant breeding programe for getting a new high quality cultivar need whole information throught the study diversity of morphology, anatomy, physiology and molecular.The Random Amplified Polymorphic DNA (RAPD) marker one method is used for identifying a big amount DNA polymorphisme on genom efficient and quickly. The polymorphism caused RAPD suitable used for genetic marker and relationship genetic study. The aim of the research was to know the germplasms diversity of eight cultivar of sweet potato used 10 primers based on the RAPD. The 10 primers were OPA-1,OPA-2, OPA-3, OPA-4, OPA-9, OPA-11, OPA-13, OPA-15, OPA-16 dan OPA-18. The result of the research used 10 primers able to detect 47 band polymorphic (90,4%) from 52 band total clearly. The sum of polymorphic band produce was average 5 band of primer. The primer produced the higher polymorphism were OPA-3, OPA-4 and OPA-16, while the OPA-18 primer have no produce polymorphic band.
