Abstract


The diversity of culture in Indonesia which carries with the knowledge of natural resources can be utilized as a medicinal, that is the large capital for the nation. Utilization of biodiversity is the description of the cultural development of communities that are an integral part of their life. Some of the knowledge of ancestral in the utilization of plant for function treatment of the traditional communities around of the Lore Lindu National Park. The availability of several species of plant that have been used as medicines by the community but in the conditions of minimal knowledge i.e. mixed conventionally based on the ancestor. The support of science and technology will the possibility of small treatment efforts can develop into the bigger i.e. among others, through laboratory test. By using the method of purposive and the analysis of vegetation on some spot that is known as the source of the medicinal plants and to continued with the macro farmaka test of Lengaru medicinal group and Sarang Semut gained the data and information that on the two types of the plants that contain phyto chemicals substances alkaloids, steroidal, triterpenoid, flavanoid and phenol are powerful barrier to disease of cholesterol and diabetes.
