Abstract

Trichodina spp. have a fast-splitting reproduction ability and can infect almost all of fish species. Freshwater fish cultivation is increasing every year, and their high mortality might be due to Trichodina spp. infection. This research was conducted to determine species of Trichodina spp. infected freshwater fish larvae. The larvae sampled included Tawes, Mujaher, Nilem, and Bawal. Sampling location was at the hatchery centers in Purbalingga, Banyumas, and Banjarnegara.  The results showed trichodiniasis in freshwater fish from the samples. The infecting Trichodina species included T. acuta, T. heterodentata, T. magna, T. nigra, T. nobilis, T. pediculus, and T. reticulate
