Abstract
Lansium parasiticum (Duku) is a species having heterogeneous morphological characters because of its wide distribution. This study examined the patterns of anatomical variation and phenetic relationships among 15 local duku samples from Purwokerto, Purbalingga, and Banjarnegara. The anatomical data were analyzed descriptively, and the similarity relationship was done with the UPGMA method. The analysis of variance revealed different anatomical characters suggesting that there was a high degree of diversity among the duku. UPGMA tree derived from cluster analysis revealed two major clusters. The first consisted of upper epidermis with thickness equaled to 16.5 µm, and the second cluster comprised fourteen upper epidermis with a thickness less than 16 µm.
